I only remember her singing this way once when we were visiting for Easter and she was older, but the vigor of her marching for Jesus never ceased. Her arms still swung up and although her voice was softer you could still hear it's passion. She knew God and he knew her and she was going to keep on until her body couldn't hold onto her anymore.
Low in the grave He lay, Jesus my Savior;
Waiting the coming day, Jesus my Lord.
Up from the grave He arose, (arm goes up here! Ha!)
With a might triumph o'er his foes.
He arose a victor of the dark domain,
And He lives forever with His saints to reign.
He arose! He arose! (shout this part out!)
Hallelujah, Christ arose!
Vanity, they watch His bed, Jesus my Savior;
Vanity, they seal the dead, Jesus my Lord.
Up from the grave He arose,
With a might triumph o'er his foes.
He arose a victor of the dark domain,
And He lives forever with His saints to reign.
He arose! He arose!
Hallelujah, Christ arose!
Death cannot keep it Prey, Jesus my Savior;
He tore the bars away, Jesus my Lord.
Up from the grave He arose,
With a might triumph o'er his foes.
He arose a victor of the dark domain,
And He lives forever with His saints to reign.
He arose! He arose!
Hallelujah, Christ arose!
Happy Easter everyone!
